The karma feature of your forum allows other members to give each other ratings which are displayed in their mini profiles.
So in other words, the Karma system is kind of a reward type thing.
When you like something someone has done, you hit the exalt button.
When you dislike something someone has done, within a reasonable boundry, you hit the smite button.
If we need additional information on this, I'll be sure to post it!

This just in - Any member found to be abusing the karma feature (smiting the crap out of people for no apparent reason) will be punished. Admins and mods CAN see who smites and exalts who. So keep this in mind please.
I'll be adding this to the main rules on my next break lmao...

Actually, I totally dislike the Karma idea. Mature posters will pm someone to say thanks or to complain about something. Immature posters will constantly reward their best buddies and smite anyone who disagrees with them. If I had a Forum on my site I most definitely would not include such a feature.

I'm an admin on a proboards forum and I've threatened everyone with zero post counts and taking away of karma if they abuse it.
(Not that I'd actually DO it, but it certainly keeps 'em in line. ;D *ish a terrible terrible adminny type person* Well, not really, but if you met some of them you'd probably understand...sometimes they're like trying to nail jello to a tree.)

Karma is here to stay, and like I said I can see when people are abusing it... I'm not just gonna leave it and let people run wild with it. That would be a disaster...

XD It's a bit interesting. One day I came and I had a -1 karma. I was like, 'what? what did I do wrong?" lol. Makes you think sometimes.
