I know I haven't said anything about this online...but here goes nothing.
Last Thursday night Brynn, my Border Collie, was attacked by a Coyote. She is fine except for a few bite marks and scratches, so we think. My dad claims he doesn't have the money to send my baby to the vet right now...but there is a worse thing going on than the Coy bite.
Along with the attack she got Bordetella. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically a common cold for the dog, known as Kennel Cough. Me, being the responsible pet owner I am, am going to try and raise money to take her to the vet and have it treated. I've had a few people tell me they were going to try and help out, and trust me...whatever money is given to me, WILL BE GIVEN BACK! As soon as I get it all back to pay you back.
Everyone here knows I don't like doing this...but it's the only way I know how to get money. So as of now, my commissions are open for this and I will negotiate prices.
Please guys...you know I don't kid around with this kind of stuff. And seeing my baby out there in the kennels like this kills me...so please help if you can. And any advertisement you can offer will help too.
Thank You to all who have helped so far. ~ Much love, *Brynn*
P.S Please don't leave any comments telling me I'm irresponsible for letting her run free. Because I don't. Somehow she got out of the backyard and decided to gallavant out in the woods. I'm still very upset about the situation and I'm trying to help her out. But since I'm 17, I can only do so much...

Unfortunately I don't have any money right now... my family is already leeching me of everything extra that I have because they can't seem to get decent jobs and always come to me to "borrow", while I am trying and scrape together the rest for us to move in 2 1/2 weeks. I would certainly help if I had any extra cash. >;.;<
How on earth did she get bordatella? There's a preventative vaccination for it. I never hesitate to get Eevee her parvo, rabies, distemper, and bordatella vaccinations. Was your dad being an a**? >O.o<
I lost a past Border Collie when I was about 12, because my dad wouldn't take me to the vet to vaccinate him against parvo, or treat him for it when he ended up getting it. Not getting vaccinated is like playing Russian Roulette. >-.-<
I would suggest that from now on, you keep some hidden money saved for such things. It can come real handy in emergencies such as this. Maybe you could borrow from other family, or friends.

Thanks Cheetah. And yeah, he was. He's one of those people that says "If the dog isn't missing any limbs, she doesn't need to go to the vet." OI! How wrong can he be? -.-;

Ah... my best friend's dog that she used to have got hit by a van last year... I kinda... stole the dog and gave it to a rescue for treatment because her dad was one of those people who just glance at the dog and go "oh she'll be fine she doesn't need a vet" (As the dog was limping around and bleeding everywhere... oh yeah she was fine... >9.9<

I don't like the situation with my parents and my cat either. They refuse to pay for the vet because they don't have the money. (that may be true, but to an extent) When my mom had a job she rather buy stuff on ebay than my cat. If I try to confront her, even today, she gets upset over how she never wanted us to accept the cat in the first place and how misrable she is with allergies.
Good Grief. I have allergies to cat dander too. I doubt I have it any better than she does.
I tried to go to my grandma for money (over the phone) and she refused in a kinder way, saying that the people's needs come first. If given a choice between paying taxes, feeding our family, providing money for our bills, or paying for the cat, she rather pay for the family's needs than an animal.
My cat isn't sick, but I'm seriuosly concerned. Whenever he starts to relax his head, arms, and legs twitch. He seems fine and comfortable when it happens, but he's due for a check-up amyway.
Maybe I should start my own topic to rant about my family. :X

Good news!
My aunt has told me she would pay to take her to the vet sometime this week. But I have to pay her back. Oi. That's going to be tough. But I'm not complaining, because my baby's getting treated right. *Happy!*

Meh. We petsat a dog one time, and it was extremely hyper because of its irresponsible, spoiling owner. It kept getting out of the kennel, chasing our farm animals, and running into the road. Well, guess what? One day, he got hit, wouldn't you know it. All he got was a little road rash, and we took him to the vet and paid the bill. The bill, however, was more than what we were getting paid for petsitting him for, so we actually lost money. When we told the owner when she came back, she was mad at US for not telling her. We were just trying to help...
By the way, when we let the dog out of the kennel when his owner came back, he went running down the hill and out into traffic again. She just stood there and cleaned out her car, forcing me to run all the way down to go get him again. She glared at me on the way out.

I'm glad your dogs going to be fine. If my pets have a cold we take them to the vet. I hope everything turns out good!

This may have been a while ago but I'm glad she's okay ^_^
I know how it's like to have parents that think if the animal isn't missing a leg/tail/head they're fine. I always keep a backup amount of money incase any of my pets need vetinary attention because I know my dad wouldn't want to waste his precious money. Luckily, I haven't had the misfortune to have to take them yet, however.
I remember when my guinia-pig had wet tail or something similar *not a guinea-pig expert*, it had really bad dihorrea (sp >>?) and she wasn't eating or moving much. My dad said it was my fault because I "played with her too much" and said she'd be fine if I left her alone. She died the next morning.. we'd only had her what, 2/3 weeks?
