This is my boy! He's ALWAYS ready for his closeup! These are some of the better pics from his professional photo session. A photographer in our area wanted to expand her portfolio, so she did some free professional pics for us. We're still waiting to get the final images on most of them, but I've got the proofs for some below. Here's my favorit, it's already finished: Here are four of the proofs: His name is Akio Kuma, which as I understand it, Akio means "Intelligent" and Kuma means "Bear". Kuma is a service dog. He is learning all kinds of little tasks to help me get through the day. I suffer Psuedo Tumor Cerebri(a nasty little spinal condition that puts pressure on my brain) with which he is learning to help me with by bringing me my pain medication when the headaches get bad. I also suffer bi-polar disorder and social anxiety disorder. He helps me with these by being with me when I go out in public, seeking help or keeping people away if I'm having an anxiety attack or self-mutilation dazes. He has greatly improved my quality of life. Service dogs really are a gift to their handlers. I know I probably sound like an advertisement, now, but I like to share my story in order to raise service dog awareness and especially psychiatric service dog awareness. I enjoy answering questions as well, so if you have any, go ahead and ask.

What kind of dog is he? He's adorable! He's a Pomeranian-Chihuahua-Shitzu-Poodle mix.

LOL. 6 of a kind, actually. His brothers and sisters are almost as cute as he is. It's really amazing how different they all are. He has ONE brother that looks like him... difference is, his brother is blue. I'm kind of sad today.... I feel like a bad puppy parent. He has roundworm and I only just noticed.... Vet says it's not too bad, though, so I must have caught it relatively early. Early enough to not need any extra anti-parasitics, so he just got his basic dewormer today. I'm so proud of him, he doesn't even get grumpy or extra-fidgety at the vet's office! This was his first visit to a proper pet hospital. He actually almost seemed to like it. Got all his shots and Doc says he didn't even whimper or flinch. *does the happy dance* I love my dog!

So he's a rather smaller dog. He looks fluffy.

He is a cutie... And he's just been made a homeless cutie.... We've been kicked out of our home with nowhere to go.... We're going to be alright, though, as we've been connected with some homeless services in our area, but it's going to be hard. He's never been homeless before, so he's the one I'm most worried about. Me and my wife have been there, though it's been a while, but he hasn't.... Keep a thought out for our little mohawked boy please! I'll be away from the forums for a while, so I'll pop in and say hi when I can.... if anyone wants updates, I'll give those also. Feel free to PM me and I'll respond whenever I get the chance.
