I believe that this is actually a law now in Australia, or NSW at least. I don't really take my Bear with me when we go on holiday (Gran grumbles about "dog smells" and that he's too pampered

We've got a stationwagon though, (Holden Adventra), and he just lays in the back when we take him to the dog park. Have you ever tried sharing the back seat with your little brother and a 40-odd kilo, long hair malamute, who happens to love the window seat? Not fun. We actually bought the car with him in mind.
